My finished set of four stamps

My chosen idea

From doing my research on waste management i found interesting facts about the lenght of time certain types of waste take to decompose. I felt that this was a simple message to fit a stamp and a message that would educate public.

I took my own photos of the bottle, can banana and plastic bag. I then looked at different compositons  and typography. I decided to give the stamps a pop art style.

A few different ideas/concepts

From doing my stamp research I found the world's first book stamp designed my man named Richard Hutten for the Netherlands 2010 world book week, the story had six pages. I had the idea of designing a set of flip book stamps that would show the effects of our actions in relation to waste management.

From looking at my thumbnails, I merged the image of the bins with the ireland map to get across the idea we are trashing are country.

For this set of stamps I wanted to show the effect of not reducing waste. The image on the stamp is split in half showing the present and what could be the near future. These stamps have different target audiences.
For this stamp set i wanted to try out just using typography with the image of the waste inside the typeface, but this did not work out when reduced to stamp size.
